Profile: Rouge is the master of stealth and disguise. She can alter her appearance to spy. Far from being the strongest, Rouge is the most devious member of the Gestalt. She wastes no time eliminating adversaries.

Rouge is also an outstanding scientist and just happens to be an atheist. It was Rouge that discovered that the nuerite infusions can be used to control forces around the body, thus enabling flight, an ability that was not intended by the Ultimate Master.

She also collects fossils in her spare time and even has an erected fossil of the extremely rare Spinosaurus in her lab.

Her fellow Gestalt comrades are Maroon, Red, Ruby, and Lord Crimson. Rouge is infatuated with Lord Crimson, much to the chagrin of Maroon, who often watches on jealously.

Superhuman Powers: Flight, super speed, heightened reflexes, resistance to injury, and super strength.

Source of Powers and Weaknesses: Like her Gestalt brothers, Rouge has been imbued with neurites, the microscopic nerve-like cells that allow access to amazing powers. While Rouge's techniques are similar to her Gestalt brothers, but she doesn't rely on rage to ramp her powers. Rather, she remains relaxed when using her powers. This gives her quite an advantage in fights, as she can concentrate on a furious battle as if it were happening in slow motion. This makes her quite deadly. However, if she is upset or startled, she may loose this edge and fall victim to a wiser opponent.

Background: There have actually been two different characters named Rouge. The first was a bumbling cat burglar character (similar to Goldie), which was far too redundant to use in Dasien. The first draft of the modern Rouge was called Scarlet, but her name was changed when a number of people kept pointing out an obvious GI Joe reference.

Name Meanings and Puns: All members of the Crimson Gestalt have names based on shades of the color red.

Emily Orczy is named after Baroness Emmuska Orczy, author of "The Scarlet Pimpernel", a noble do-gooder which many consider the first true dual-identity superhero.
