Profile: Poor Victor Sorge salvaged the Dasein project from Mähdrescher's mistakes. After Mähdrescher had been removed by Omega Corp, Sorge simplified his work and compiled a genetic code that would be inserted into a host via a virus vector. He called the virus "Dasein", believing that the selectable individuality of the carriers would be far more beneficial to the strand's success. He also referred to it as the "Life Virus".
However, Sorge discovered that times were changing, and a country once interesting in genetics was now preparing for war. The military became interested in his superhuman virus vector and were ready to test the sample. In desperation, he fled with his creation and hid it in the one place no one would dare to look, a child. After destroying years of research and marking himself a wanted man, Victor Sorge disappeared, never to be heard from again. |
