April Fool: Sprites!
April Fool's Day is the closest thing we have to a full-blown holiday here at Dasien comics. It's celebrated with zeal and festivities, and the main tradition is to make a Dasien comic which makes fun of another comic style.

In this episode, I make fun of sprite comics, because they fucking suck. I'm sorry. They do. The only thing worse than a sprite comic is its whiny author.

This comic is actually somewhat notorious for being the sprite comic spoof that actually does the form better than the regular sprite comics. I suppose... I mean, I didn't really spend much time on it. Most of the time dedicated to this comic was spent on drawing the final panel.


The Sprite Comic Drinking Game

One Drink
The cast consists of Final Fantasy and/or Megaman recolors.
A character breaks the fourth wall.
A character swears for no conceivable reason.
All but one of the heroes are idiots.
The villain is a plodding buffoon.
Megaman is stupid.

Two Drinks
The characters are conscious that they are in a game and acknowledge the rules.
The author is a character in the comic.
The author can't spell/use proper grammar.
Swearing is used as a punchline.
"I hate you" is used as a punchline.
There are less than ten episodes.
The last update was some time in 2002.
Ran dies.

Three Drinks
The title of the comic has the words "The Comic", "Comics" or "Comix" at the end.
The author complains in his blog about how hard he works.
Characters are blurry or distorted because the author resized them improperly.
MS Paint special effects are obvious.
Sonic smokes pot.
Someone in the comic says "This comic sucks!"

Four Drinks
"Author powers" are used.
Awful JPEG compression instead of GIF
Characters are pasted with white boxes around them, because the author doesn't know how to use transparancy.
There's an "All your base" reference.

Five Drinks
"There are no plot holes"
